The Columbus Ski Club Meets the first and third Wednesday of each month starting in September.

Meet the Board Night - February 18

Because winter can be so dull and boring, we thought it would be fun to give our members, both old and new, a chance to come out and say hello to those volunteers who give their time to the Ski Club and to hear from our fellow members.  We are after all, a social organization that does more than host trips and activities.  We also want to use this opportunity to not only get to know each other, but to show off our new website.  We want to show you all of the new and exciting features incorporated into it and and to meet the volunteers who put in untold hours in designing and implementing it.  They will also be there to answer your questions about all of the new features.

So save the date and plan on joining your fellow members on February 18 to meet the board and to catch up with those you may not have seen for a while.

CSC Board Elections

It is time to think about the CSC Board elections. Elections are held at the first member gathering in April; Wednesday, April 1, 2015 (as well as via absentee ballot). As the current Board Secretary, Elaine Fouts will oversee the elections this year. Please consider running for the Board!

The CSC runs on volunteers. It isn't as much of a time commitment as you may think, and we need leadership in order for the CSC to continue to prosper. Any member is eligible to run! We need creative, energetic people who have fresh, new ideas.

If you are interested, or would like more information, please contact Elaine Fouts at (614) 506-2632 or bostonlady1951@gmail.comto request a sign-up form/application or any current Board member.

This year as an option, we will be offering our trip packages both with and without lift tickets (OVSC trip excluded). While we call them ski trips, we think that even those who don't ski would enjoy the fresh air, gorgeous vistas and special camaraderie that we skiers have experienced for years. We think we have a great bunch of trips this year that will appeal to both the hard core among us as well as the more casual skier and those who are simply interested in the beautiful scenery and social aspects. And remember, with Columbus Ski Club ski trips all you have to do is show up to the airport and we do the rest!!

Spring Tennis - Doubles and Drills and Beginner

Sign-ups Feb. 18th and Sessions starts March 6th

Why You Should Play Tennis

"You just want to look and feel fit, and work up a sweat while you're at it. The treadmill? Too boring. Lifting weights? Ditto. What sport will give your body and mind a workout while letting you enjoy the excitement of head-to head competition, all in the time that it takes to watch the first half of a football game? There's only one, and that's tennis!" (

Okay, I'm all for that and you should be, too!  Come and join us for pro-led tennis drills and participants' doubles play - not only to develop skills, but to cut health risks, also!

We offer Doubles & Drills (2.5 - 4.0/4.5 levels) from 6:30 - 9 PM ($200) and Play & Learn Beginner's Tennis (0 to 2.5 level) from 7 - 8:30 PM ($160) on Friday evenings for 8 weeks starting March 6th at Elysium Tennis near Dublin.  We also promise social outings following tennis every Friday!
