| Funnybone Christmas Benefit Show |
|
2009: DEC 21 - Located at Easton Towne Center and hosted by Dino Tripodis of 94.7 FM, Sunny 95. This show benefits a charity selected by an elite group of comedians. The charity varies every year. The Comedians are up to 12 national television and touring headliners each doing 10 minutes of their best material. Dinner and the show with preferred seating is only $30 and show only tickets are $10. This show always sells out. |

2009: MAY 16 - The annual national Komen Race for the Cure® event to support breast cancer research, education, screening, and treatment. A celebration of life, with a purpose to cheer on those who have conquered this desease and for those who are fighting it.
Our club members either run, walk or volunteer to be road marshalls for this charity event. |

On-Going: The Ski Club has provided on-going support for this program since the early 1990's. It is The Adaptive Adventure Sports Coalition. It provides sporting opportunities for people with disabilities (snow skiing, kayaking, bicycling, sailing, ice skating, and waterskiing). |

2009: The Columbus Ski Club participated in the Return to Neverland Gala and Silent Auction. For 45 years, the Columbus Children’s Theatre, a non-profit organization, has been providing theatrical experiences for children and families throughout Ohio. Their mission is to inspire and enrich the lives of children and their families through live theatre and theatre education. |

On-Going: The Ski Club has provided on-going support for this facility at St. Ann's Hospital that serves women with breast cancer. Jan Hurley, the "Jan" of Jan's Place, was a two-term President during the 1990's. |

2007: FEBRUARY 17 - Alum Creek State Park to Host 5th Annual Polar Bear Plunge for Special Olympics. Over 200 participants are expected to be on hand at Alum Creek State Park, on Saturday, February 17, 2007, for the 2007 Polar Bear Plunge. Join with other hardy souls by jumping in the Alum Creek Plunge for 'freezin for a reason'. 2007: JULY 13 - Annual Jan Hurley Memorial Pink Ribbon Golf Tournament which helps support Jan's Place at Mount Carmel St. Ann's Hospital by donating to the Mount Carmel Foundation. Jan was a teacher and former Columbus Ski Club president who passed away from breast cancer in 1998. According to the Mount Carmel website "Jan's Place is home to a philosophy of caring for people affected by cancer. Established as a symbol of hope, Jan's Place honors the memory of Jan Hurley. It offers comprehensive services, support, and products for Central Ohio patients during their cancer treatment and their celebration of life." |

2007: JULY 21 - Benefiting the Epilepsy Foundation. Two teams participate from the Columbus Ski Club at a location in the Columbus area with other mud challenged participants. People from all walks of life and from the business world ... will leave you /or them lying in the mud. |

2006: SEPT 13 - Proceeds benefit pediatric cancer research at Columbus Children's Research Institute. Join Wags & Elliott of QFM 96.3 for the Slice of Columbus (formerly known as the Columbus Pizza Challenge) at the Lifestyle Communities Pavilion. Doors open at 5:00 p.m. The finest pizza shops bid for the chance of being named the Best Pizza in Columbus. Admission is $10 for ages 12 and up and free for ages 12 and under.
