The wine tastings at the Refectory have always been the most popular. This tasting will be very special. For those who have not been to the Refectory it is elegant but relaxed and never stuffy. The Refectory was recently selected as one of the Top 100 Restaurants in America, the only one in Columbus and one of only three in Ohio.

As in the past, this will be a stand-up tasting with two pouring stations that encourage a natural mingling, perfect for catching up with old friends and meeting new people. There will be eight to ten courses of delectable French hors d’oeuvres including one or two desserts. With both the upper dining room and the upper tasting room reserved for us there will be room for up to 75 – but don’t wait, Refectory tastings have always sold out quickly. The event will, once again, be hosted by Robert Johnson.

Pat Lombardi of the distributor Natural-State has selected 10 exceptional wines. Four are Argentinean and will be poured by the importer himself. One is from Chile. The remaining five are from Spain and include a Wine Spectator Top 100 wine, three wines rated 90 – 91 points by Wine Spectator or Wine Advocate and one wine rated 94 points by Robert Parker. Argentinean, Chilean and Spanish wines are remarkable values, frequently surpassing wines two to three times their price. Come find some new favorites. All the wines will be available for purchase that night at State Minimum Prices.

Put on your dancing shoes!! Don’t miss a chance to join the most fun dance class in town taught by dance instructor Ron Clark of Dance Plus Ballroom. Dance lessons will begin again for five weeks on Tuesdays, March 6 through April 3. You do not need a partner. We rotate partners, giving you a chance to meet everyone. For those signing up as a couple, you do not have to rotate partners. Lessons are held at the Park of Roses shelter house. After the lessons, join the group for a beer, a meal or more dancing. Sign ups will begin at the December 7 meeting and continue until full. Cost is $30 and limited to 60 people. Lessons are one hour, from 7 PM until 8 PM. Don't hesitate to sign up. CHRISTMAS”  Charity show to benefit the Jan Hurley Memorial Golf Outing (Mount Carmel Mobile Mammography Coach) CSC’S annual night of comedy is Monday, December 19^th. To those of you who’ve never been to this event, don’t miss out on a CSC tradition that has gone on for many years. It is a “laugh til you hurt” night out that is held once a year at the Funny Bone comedy club. The Funny Bone is located at the Easton Towne Center.
