2008: The Roles and Fees
There are more than just players in the Softball Program. This chart outlines the roles available in the program.
2008: Softball Roles and Fees
Role Fees Meaning Comments 
Player $60 Team Player Each team has 7 men and 7 women on their roster. 
Coach $60 Team Coach Each team has a designated coach who may also be a player.
NPC $25 Non-Playing Coach This is the perfect position for the person who knows the game, loves the game, loves to have fun, but just can't make it to 1st base. We need you too!
NPA $25 Non-Playing Assistant This person helps organize the team, keeps the players informed of updates, maintains the scorebook, and tries to keep the coach's head on straight.
PC $25 Party Coordinator This person organizes social events for their softball team. PARTY, PARTY, PARTY!!! Enough said.
*TS $250 Team Sponsor A Team Sponsor can select their shirt style and can have their logo or ad imprinted on the shirt. They are awarded any league trophy the team may win.
*SS $500 Schedule Sponsor The team schedules are distributed to all players. It will be imprinted with the logo or ad for the Schedule Sponsor.
*AS $100 All-Star Sponsor An All-Star Sponsor can have their logo or ad imprinted on the special All-Star shirt. This is a single evening event which is attended by many of the players in the Softball Program.

*Sponsors- Sponsor are needed, and are very Important to the softball program. If you have any questions about sponsorship, please call Dick Williamson at 614-850-9613. If you have suggestions on what more we can do for sponsors, please talk with Dick. We are committed to supporting the sponsors who participate in the Softball Program.

2008: The Recent Sign-Up Rules
Rules for Signing-Up Together
Prior to 2007: Pair Rule A person can sign-up to participate on the same team as one other person. The two people do not need to have the same team role. All rules are subject to the team balancing principle.
2007: Family Rule If both parents sign-up to participate in softball, their adult child can sign-up to be on the same team with them. Not all the people need to have the same team role. All people must be members of the Club.
2008: Female Rule Three players may sign-up together as long as two of the players are female, and at least one of them is new to the softball program. All people must be members of the Club.

2008: The Softball Committee
The softball program is so large that it takes a fairly large committee to run it. The following table outlines the people in charge of the program for 2008.

Role Person Comments
Softball Chairperson Dick Williamson Dick was the Softball Chairperson about 10 years ago. He does an exceptional job in balancing teams and making the experience a fun time for everyone by keeping it fair for all.
Assistant Chairperson Roy Izzo In addition to being the Assistant Chairperson, Roy is also in charge of the Over 40 Male Social Softball program.
League Commissioner Herb Beidel Herb was a Commissioner last year. He is also in charge of the Competitive Coed Softball program.
League Commissioner Charlie Bennett Charlie is a long-time participant in the softball program as a player and as a coach.
League Commissioner Dennis Driscoll Dennis has been a participant in the softball program for over 20 years. He has been a coach and Commissioner in previous years.
League Commissioner Jerry Lang While Jerry has been a player and coach in previous years, this is his first year as a Commissioner.
Technical Assistant Jeff Timmons Jeff has been a player for many years. His role is to maintain the technical aspects of the program.
