Description: Big White Ski Resort Ltd. have undergone a massive summer construction project scheduled for completion prior to the start of the 2004-2005 winter season. $127.9 million is the total that will be spent on infrastructure and luxury accommodations and will include two new chair lifts, a state-of-the-art ski and snowboard terrain park, new on-mountain day lodge including viewing deck, six new intermediate and advanced runs expanding the resort skiable terrain by 200 acres, two new grooming machines, and luxury resort accommodations bringing the total on-mountain bed base total to over 14,000 beds.
Price: $1,235/pp Includes airfare, condos, transfers, 5 day lift tickets that are interchangeable with Silverstar.

Welcome to Middle Earth!

While in Queenstown, New Zealand try the whitewater rafting, bungee jumping, golf, hiking, horseback riding, four wheel jeep adventures, tour the Millford Sound or Doubtful Sound via boat, helicopter, plane, or bus then explore all Middle Earth has to offer. Shop, dine, party, and with all the Queenstown city life has to offer with over 140 restaurants and bars. Then you can experience the great skiing and snowboarding in any of the four championship ski fields in the beautiful Southern Alps of the South Island of New Zealand ... Coronet Peak, Cardrona, Treble Cone, The Remarkables.

In Australia are three ports of call. First with Port Douglas on the Great Barrier Reef, with the nearby Daintree National Park and Cape Tribulation, and Mossman Gorge. The only place on earth where 2 world heritage areas exist side by side. Second, Brisbane, known locally as Bris Vegas, the city is renowned for its sun, but it is also the arts capital of the Queenland region, with dozens of theatres, cinemas, concert halls, and a thriving nightlife. Last, is Sydney, Australia's oldest city. Staying in the Rocks next to Sydney Harbor and by the Sydney Opera House. Sydney is a city blessed with long stretches of heavenly beaches and a pleasant climate that sees over 300 sunny days a year.

Description: Sun Valley, OVSC: Trip runs from Saturday to Saturday -- We will join the OVSC in Sun Valley this January. Enjoy 5 days of skiing, welcome party, mountain picnic, apres’ ski party, Nastar Racing, awards dinner, and more. We will be staying in the Sun Valley Deluxe Condos in the resort village. Free shuttles are available to both the ski mountain and the town of Ketchum. Sun Valley offers over 2,000 acres of terrain suitable for skiers of all levels, with 19 lifts, 75 trails, and 3,400 feet vertical drop. The OVSC ski trips are a lot of fun, with lots of activities where you can mix with members of the other ski clubs. Signups will begin at the Sept. 14th meeting, and a $360 deposit will be required.

 Crested Butte, CO
Trip Dates: Jan 25–30, 2006
Description: Crested Butte: Trip runs from Wednesday to Monday -- The value of the season, JANUARY SKIING AT DECEMBER PRICES. Includes roundtrip air from Columbus to Gunnison Colorado, leaving Wednesday morning and returning Monday evening. Transfers to and from the airport. 5 nights lodging at the Chateaux condos. These condos are 3 bedroom 3 bath units, with an outdoor central hot tub and heated pool. It's a short 10 minute walk to the slopes or a free shuttle ride. A 3 day lift ticket is included, along with a breakfast on the mountain. In addition to a peak elevation of 12,162 ft. with 88 trails to challenge every level of skier or snowboarder. Mt. Crested Butte offers slope side restaurants and shops. The Town of Crested Butte is a free 3 mile shuttle ride away and offers night life along with additional shopping and restaurants. Have you always wanted to try cross county skiing? The Nordic Center in Crested Butte offers it along with ice skating and, sledding. That right I said sledding, remember how much fun that is? And thats not all you can try a snowshoe adventure, dog sledding, a dinner on the mountain, or snowmobiling all of which are available for an additional cost. Its terrain represents everything from groomed slopes to dangerous cliffs. Every serious skier must experience Jackson Hole. This trip includes all transportation, 7 nights of lodging, 5 day lift pass, welcome party, breakfast each day, and a dinner. The club will be staying at the 49er in the town of Jackson. Description: Panorama / Kicking Horse: Trip runs Sunday to Sunday -- Panorama, one of the largest resorts in Canada, boasts some of the most beautiful scenery in the world. This trip includes air/bus transportation, lodging, 3 days skiing at Panorama, and 2 days skiing at Kicking Horse. Panorama has over 115 trails, 2,847 acres of terrain, and over 4,000 foot vertical drop. We will be staying in Panorama Springs, 2 bed/2 bath condos right at the base of the ski area - adjacent to pubs, restaurants, and huge hot tub pools for your swim in/swim out enjoyment. Description: Andorra, Europe, OVSC: Trip runs Saturday to Sunday -- Join OVSC in Andorra. Andorra???? Where the heck is that? Well, it’s located in the central Pyrenees Mountains between Spain and France. This fun filled trip includes roundtrip air from Columbus to Barcelona, Spain, transfer to Andorra where you will be staying at the Magic Hotel with breakfast and dinner included daily. There will be an OVSC Welcome party, transfers to ski areas (lift tickets not included) and plenty of shopping and sightseeing to do in Andorra. You will end your trip with two nights at the Crystal Palace Hotel in Barcelona with breakfast buffet and free time for sightseeing. We are also putting together some day trip options which will be announced later. Signups for this trip begin at the October 5th meeting.

Start your 2008-2009 ski season off with a “bang” as CSC returns to Winter Park, "Colorado's Favorite Resort". Winter Park sits in the Vasquez Mountains of Arapaho National Forest, located only 67 miles from Denver. Winter Park, Mary Jane, Parsenn Bowl, Vasquez Cirque and Vasquez Ridge make up the five distinct mountains that host Winter Park's 3060 acres of incredibly varied terrain.

Morzine, an authentic alpine Savoyard village surrounded by towering peaks and tall firs, is a long-established French resort popular for its traditional atmosphere and tree-filled slopes; a true “undiscovered gem”. Morzine is the largest town of all the "Portes du Soleil" resorts, located in the center of a 400 mile ski circuit linked by 204 lifts. Our lodging, the Hotel L’Aubergade, is located close to the center of town and is ski-in/ski-out.
  You may choose to ski the French resorts or the Swiss side, one lift ticket (not included) will allow you to do it all. The Après-ski is exciting with many tropical bars, discos and restaurants to choose from; or you may enjoy a hockey game or figure skating exhibition at the Ice Palace. Want a mid-season lift? Then join 32 of your friends as CSC hits the lifts at Squaw Valley, Northstar and Mt. Rose to find out what the locals have always known; the North side of Lake Tahoe has the best skiing. You can ski like an Olympican at Squaw, cruise eight uninterrupted one mile runs on the backside of Mt. Pluto at Northstar or enjoy the panoramic view and Sierra's best powder at Mt. Rose. These three resorts are simply the best, with a combined total of 7,620 ski able acres, 6,930’ of vertical drop and 51 lifts.

Your lodging will be at the deluxe Silver Legacy Resort and Casino, in downtown Reno and a 35-50 minute shuttle ride to the ski areas. The Silver Legacy, connected to the Circus Circus and El Dorado, offers four square blocks of round the clock entertainment, restaurants, bars and lounges. It is so big that one evening we will have a pub crawl and never leave the building.
